RIP Patti Berg
No one on GW has given Ms. Berg a thread since she passed at 88 years old. so, I guess I'll do the honors.
A true ambassador to the LPGA, teacher, 60 tour wins, and 15 majors- still tops today, a lietenant in the military, and a true woman commited to children, life, the LPGA, and her country. Thanks for everything you've accomplished and for all the people you've touched. RIP Patti Berg.

She was one of the 13 founders of the LPGA tour in 1950 and president for the first three years...AP female athlete of the year in '38, '43 and '55...LPGA created the Patty Berg Award in 1978 for outstanding contributions to women's golf, an award she won in 1990...honored in 2000 along with the other founders with the Comissioners Award...holds the record for major wins. There's more, of course...what a great lady who will surely be missed.
