Streak Ends with an Upset from Micheel

Well it was fun while it lasted right guys?, This wont be the last streak from Tiger although I watched some coverage this morning and micheel looked so solid, I wish we had him on our ryder cup team now, Well Tiger should have a strong Ryder cup and this proves even Gods can be bested sometimes

I think there were two streaks going in all honesty. One for all events which is done and one for PGA TOUR events. This is also not a case of he lost lets keep this other streak alive either because he doesnt need my help or anyone elses in the history or record books. I have asked this question on here in a thread because i was unsure. Some articles and people say 6 was today and others are adimant that its only pga tour events just like Byron Nelsons or anyone elses. So in reality there are two streaks. One is dead and the other one will survive until at least the WGC in England....the PGA tour has said it would not have counted a victory this week had he won.

So the streak is 4? The Open is an R&A event, not PGA.

The British Open is an official PGA TOUR (co-sanctioned) event. The Match Play at Wentworth is not.

Then it would be one......since the PGA Championship is the only PGA-run event on the PGA Tour.

Match Play is so hard to include with the other events he won. It's one round vs. 4 rounds. The other guy can make 3 triple bogeys and you can make 5birdies and you may still lose. That's why a lot of favorites end up losing these things.

Unfortunately if he goes on to win several more regular stroke play tournaments it would still be marked with an asterisk.

re:does it count or not, does it really matter? I think the only stat and number that is important to TW is 18.
