So who wins the Ryder Cup?

Pretty simple...just answer the poll.

seems to me that a lot of European people are underestimating the U.S team, if the team does that they will lose.
i think Europe will win, but it will be no walkover for them, and i can see a very close match. if the captain's have a strong influence over the result though then i think USA will win hands down. but im going for a Europe victory.

I think the US will squeak one out this time. Lehman seems to have taken a strong leadership role as captain this time around. I'm just worried about the rookies on the American team, the European rookies have much more playing experience.

I was going with Europe, not now with the US. All I want is drama for Sunday.

Well I voted with my head instead of my heart. They beat us on our turf when we were big favorites. I don't see that changing on there turf, when they have the edge on paper. Playing on an American style course couldn't hurt, though.

Europe i hope will win, but i do like how the Americans are biggin down their chances and talking as if they are team Europe. Being the underdogs, all pally pally and all relaxed and having a laugh. Every1 loves each other and the team gel so good. Actually im sick of hearing how well the American team are bonding and getting on, they may want to think about how to win rather than pulling the worlds biggest PR stunt. The Europeans just get on,thats it,no big deal or song and dance about it.

It will be close this year, ive just watched again the last 2 cups and alot of it was down to putting.

Give my regards to Nick Faldo and Tony Jacklin.... That is if y'all ever speak to them again. I mainly recall the word "feud" as it relates to golf/Ryder Cup/etc. associated with European names.

Cheers

The worst example of bickering I can remember in the Ryder Cup was at Brookline. Duval in particular wanted to raise the issue of being paid to represent your tour/country in the Ryder Cup.

Then the matter changed to not being paid, but instead (after a heated press conference from the then captain Ben Crenshaw) money being awarded to a players nominated charity!

There was some merit to what Duval was saying (when it was `suddenly` changed to a charity donation, and not for personal gain), but it was bad timing, and divided the team at the wrong time imo. I`d never seen Crenshaw so mad.... ...and that includes the bust up with Nicklaus he once had!

USA wins this, the Europeans are way underestimating the talent of this young team , and with Tiger and the rest of them fired up in Ireland, this will be one for the ages
