Valero Texas Open
Is anyone going?

I talked my wife into going with me on Saturday. I've never been to a PGA tournament before, so I'm really looking forward to this. Any advice for a newbie?

Get the tee sheet at the beginning (when you walk in) and just enjoy your day. Try and develop a game plan. For me, I went to the Buick Open in Michigan and the Bridgestone Invitation this year. Both times I went simply to follow Mike Weir. I got his autograph at the Bridgestone and he hit his tee ball into my feet on 18 and I got to watch him from 2 feet away. It was the highlight of my summer. You'll love it!

Make sure to spend some time at the practice tee. You will be amazed at how well these guys hit the ball.
