When the heck have the Americans ever sat players all day? There needs to be a rule that everyone plays each day. If I made the Ryder Cup team, ESPECIALLY if I earned my way on in 7th place, I would darn well expect to play, and if I kept sitting, I would think hard about participating the next time I QUALIFIED for the team.

If Furyk doesn't go at least 1-1 tomorrow, future Ryder Cup captains need to consider benching him in all team events (currently 2-10-1 in team play)...

I would have thought they would have played Vaughn Taylor in better ball. Less pressure than alternate shot. Unless a person (i.e. Furyk, Justin Leonard) has proven to be incompetent in winning team matches, they should have an opportunity to play at least once.

i.e. Woods

Tiger has a miserable record in team matches - why trot him out 4 times???

0-5 on Friday afternoon matches. The next captain might need to consider benching him Friday afternoon (but let him know in advance, so he can decide whetehr or not to join the team and not be a sulking distraction).

Of the 14 USA Ryder Cup players with at least 20 matches, Tiger Woods' winning percentage is second lowest. Only Curtis Strange has a worst record.

The best all-time? Top two by winning percentage are 1) Sergio Garcia, 2) Arnold Palmer.

For the same reason you hit driver off every par 4 and 5 in a round...in the hopes that you catch lightning in a bottle with the biggest stick you have. Tiger is Lehman's "big stick" and if he plays his best, no one beats him. He simply hasn't played his best in the Ryder Cup yet.

There is no "I" in RYDER CUP (or TEAM!)

Well that is one way to play. I usually hit an equal number of 3 and 4 woods. I started doing that about 15 years ago when Freddy was doing so well using 3W off the tee.

So if we keep doing the same thing and keep losing, would it be more insane to keep repeating the same method but expecting different results, or trying something different?

I know, I know.....no brainer to put the world #1 out there five times, no Ryder Cup captain has ever sat him down. It is hard to imagine anyone ever trying it, even once.

Great Friday matches... with nearly all going to 18. Furyk really blew it on 18, if he hits the middle of the green and it's a 1 point difference, most likely. Watching guys gack under pressure is part of the fun of it... hopefully he got it out of his system. Henry really showed his mettle. I look forward to watching him the next couple of days. Great show by DC too ... at 1 & 18 especially. You'd have to have a heart of stone not to be happy for him. Oh and hose Sergio down... start yapping at him or something .... what a beast.

If you guys bench Tiger, and lose, the captain will be lambasted. If you win without tiger, you'll still be lambasted but not as much.

See Tiger may be a liability to us. Seems too much focus on Tiger is hurting us.
