Saturday at the Ryder Cup

Draw for Saturday fourballs

Cink/Henry v Casey/Karlsonn

Phil/DiMarco v Garcia /Oli

Woods/Furyk v Clarke /Westwood

Verplank/Johnson v Harrington /Stenson

Resting Howell and Donald again makes sense , as does resting Monty. Suprised HArrington is not rested.

Still no place for Taylor, maybe they want him to get injured for Sunday.

Henry and Johnson have earned their places and deserve another crack.

Campbell and Toms need to pull their weight.

Resting Donald makes no sense whatsoever.

I couldn't agree more. Luke played well today and is the best all around player on the Euro team.

I am surprised to see Verplank/Johnson as a grouping. I think in 4 ball, you usually want 1 player with a high birdie % and 1 who is more stable. Both needed to play and both can putt, so we will have to wait and see.

The US will need to start gaining on the 2 point lead. The Euro's will need to be contained to 8.5 points or less after the first 2 days, if the US wants to win back the cup.

Maybe Luke's got a painting he's trying to finish up.

The weather is very poor, with wet rough nad strong winds. Length is important and is not Luke 's stong suit

1. Looks like Wetterich is not playing until singles.

2. V. Taylor will probably play alternate shot, though I thought this is better for a rookie to play first match.

3. Verplank gets to play. Wonder if he was injured.

4. You'll hear Donald complain...

5. Will they sit out McGinley tomorrow afternoon as well?

Toms May Still Have Some Issues with is Back

I figured they would sit out Toms at least once to rest his back.

Wetterich played well. I 'd be suprised if he does not feature until singles.
I'd have thought you should blood rookies in better ball where the parter can carry them they way Furyk did to Tiger on the first hole.
I think playing Cink,Woods,Fuyrk,DiMArco and Mickleson for all four matches will see tiredness creep in, ask MArk James

I don't expect Wetterich to play in alternate shot. The thought of him in alternate shot scare me, unless Lehman pairs him with Vaughn Taylor like Torrance paired Philip Price and Pierre Fulke for alternate shot in 2002.

I think DiMarco is heading for the bench Sat. afternoon. May be the same with Stewart Cink. Possible to see Toms play with Mickelson for alternate shot.

GET EM US!, Tiger and Jim look good together, thing is, he should let jim hit some tee shots, and tiger can putt, seems like every green he left jim with a putt

If DiMarco and Mickelson could win or at least halve, that would go a long way to U.S. momentum by taking away a sure point from Sergio.

U.S. needs to make a punching bag or dart board with Sergio's face and whoever plays him needs to do everything that it takes legally and morally to beat Sergio in his match.
