Saturday afternoon matches.....(**Spoiler alert**)

This thing's almost over already.

Afternoon matches going on and the U.S. is losing now 3 of the 4. Mickelson/Toms match was All-Square and have just lost two straight holes, and now Garcia/Donald are dormie. Europe's up 5-up in another match and just took a late lead in another match over Campbell/Taylor. Woods/Furyk are the only Americans leading, 2 up with 9 to go. If they blow this lead, the Americans might as well not even show up tomorrow. Europe would only need 3.5 points tomorrow to retain the Cup if things stay the way they are. Ouch!

Looks like it will be 10-6 heading into tomorrow's singles matches. Could have been worse. But still, the U.S. is needing a huge miracle tomorrow to pull thing out. And with what i've seen out of these guys so far, this thing's all but over. No doubt the Europeans want this thing more.

Game over. No way the USA can win 8.5/12 in singles on foreign soil, at least with this squad, not against this team.

In the last two RC the Euro team ruled on Sunday, 7.5/12 both times.

Looks like the best team win again. Congrats to the wee Welshman and his merry men.

Best team and players. The American squad is little more than a bunch of overindulged, overhyped choke dogs, and few of them can stake a claim to not deserving that label away from this event either...ironically, the bunch who don't fall into the first category at the RC fall into the second category elsewhere.

Its amazing that the American 'team' just dont seem to have learnt anything from mistakes made at Oakland Hills:
1) They made little or no effort to get the crowd on their side since day 1 of practice - the Irish crowd would easily have warmed to the US team had they made any effort to interract with the public and actually even play on practice days. Their players come across so aloof from everyone, a bit arrogant even. This is probably not really the case, they just seem to lack any charisma.

2) Speaking of charisma, why does Tiger leave his behind at every Ryder Cup? He's like a different person out there.

3) They just dont look like they are playing as a team. Little things like walking out to the opening ceremony in order of ranking says a lot. In the European team, there is no ranking, no order of importance.

Seriously ... he has no real charisma. Just because he wins alot, does not mean he has a fabulous personality.
The real Eldrick Woods (not a team player) comes out in tournaments like these. His personality is all a front for
the Nike Corporate gods.

A true American bore.

That's why golf isn't a team sport. His personality is just the same whether he's in the first round of the Buick Open or the second match of the Ryder Cup. To expect him to become sunny all of a sudden for these exhibitions is unrealistic.
