Garcia.....9 match wins in a row

Is this a record? Garcia went 5-0-0 in '04 and is now 4-0-0 this year. This is a pretty amazing streak (even though i hate the guy).

Actually i just read on espn that the record is 12 set by Arnold Palmer. Garcia would tie Olazabal for the euro record with a win.

If they start making majors into team matchplay events, then I'll believe that might happen.

i just dont understand it, how comes in a Major or any stroke play event he stands over a putt for what seems an hour, and in the ryder cup he sets himself up and makes the stroke (if you time his putts for an eagle in a Major and a putt to win a hole in the ryder cup you would get a few seconds different) his timing is all over the place in Majors, 1 putt can take 20 seconds and then the next 15 seconds and the next 30 seconds, but in the Ryder cup he seems to take near similar time standing over it.

There's the Garcia we all know. Today's the exact reason why Garcia will never win a major anytime soon. When Sunday comes around, he chokes.

I have always been a fan of Garcia though I was GLAD to see him get busted by Cink today. Sergio's antics this weekend were a bit over the top IMO.

I think you are being unfair to Cink. Garcia played reasonable today but Cink was on fire. He birdied 5 out of the first six or something stupid like that. Even in the last few holes Cink just continued to drain em from everywhere.

I also think Cink was the best player in Ireland today. Followed by Casey who was also awesome.

I heard that Cink was 7 under for the 15 holes played, with two birdieable par 5's to come.

A little unfair to call Garcia a choker on that basis.
