Paul Azinger

I was reading my monthly poker magazine and read that he pulled out of a tourney late this year becuase of his fathers health but then he ended up in Vegas at a WSOP event that same weekend. I thought that was amusing but he could've gotten fined or penalized or whatever for pulling out late.

I wonder if pro golfers make good poker players?

I should think Berrhard Langer would be pretty good, Retief Goosen, also.

I'm sure John Daly has also played a few hands as well.

Yep. Remember when he finished second to Tiger this year in San Diego? He lost it all in about an hour playing $5,000 slots. Then he went and got another $100,000 from another casino and lost that as well in about 30 minutes. All of this was in his book that's out. Good read too!

On a related note, I'm sure Tiger has a won a few majors.

If this story is true about Azinger, I think it shows why he should not be the Ryder Cup captain. The guy is a goofball.

He doesn't take his announcing seriously (he stinks) and he obviously doesn't take his golf seriously if he makes up stuff about his dad so he can go play poker.

He doesn't deserve to be constantly rewarded, not sure why he always is.

To be fair, he pulled out because his dad was going through surgery. The surgery was postponed so he went a gamblin'
