European Tour Championship

With eleven of the Ryder cup team playing, this is a great end of season event. Casey had food poisoning yesterday and was concentrating on getting round without any accidents. Oh for a three hour round!

Pity Harrington isn't doing better to make the order of merit race more exciting.

The order of Merit is up for graps. With no cut this weekend it's still wide open.

Harrington could well win the order of merit.
He requires at least a top 3 finish to overtake Casey.

3rd Round in Progress:
Westwood -4 after 9
Harrington -2 after 12
Garcia -2 after 10
6 players at -1
5 players at par.

Harrington opened with a 73 and was in 35th place in the 54 player field. He did really well to get up to 9th place after round 2, and is doing really well again.

He is a really great competitor, and would be a very worthy order of merit champion.
Casey is back at +6 so probably won't be a factor.

Wouldn't it be great if Harrington won the tournament, and won the order of merit in style.
