U.S. Open Local Sectionals...
Did any of you have a local sectional in your area? Who won it? Hawaii had a sectional with only one player advancing to the U.S. Open. I'm happy to say it's Parker McLachlin, who is local to Hawaii. He attended my same high school. Just saw he's 1 over after 5 holes. Just started this thread so we can keep track of all local sectional qualifiers.

Does anyone know if someone who qualified via local sectionals has ever won the Open? Or what has been the highest finish? With players like Nick Price qualifiying, there definitely are people capable of winning who have qualified through this route. Would be interesting to see if anyone has ever won or come close, though.
