All of the International Tours (other than the US PGA Tour) agree not to recognize money earned in the WGCs as official on any given player's home tour.

All non-USA players boycott the WGC events.

Unceasing pressure from several prominent entities eventually compels the people running the Official World Rankings to no longer include the WGCs - past, present and future - in their weekly calculations.
