What's the next event that is actually worth switching on the tv and watching.
Justin Rose is winning some tournament in Austalia, but who really cares. So can someone just post the next actual big event. Is it the players championship & then the masters. That's quite a while to wait for those.
What of real substance is on next that the top players will be there and really wanting to win.
Mercedes Championship in January is the first PGA event of the season, not much else worthwhile before then.
Okay that's just the Champions though.
Okay lets use this criteria. If Tiger shows up it is a big event. If he doesn't it isn't. Even though the other guys will be there, if he doesn't show up, it obviously isn't that important, because if it was he'd be going for a streak or something with it.
The Tiger World Challenge is a fun Silly season event but it's a very limited field and it's played at a time of year when most of the participants have packed it in for the year. It may be all we have this time of year but let's not confuse this with a "big event."
The questing was "What's the next event that is actually worth switching on the tv and watching?" I didn't say it was a BIG event, but certainly one I will be watching with great interest. An extremely limited but elite field means more quality shots on camera.
ill watch it all. the Australasian tour which we get to see (although co sanctioned with the European tour) is always a favourite few weeks of mine, and was certainly a good watch last week, what a great talent Aaron Pike could be on this showing. i suppose the next big thing coming though (not for everybody, but i always enjoy it), is the World Cup in Barbados.
I asked the question, and I think the Target World Challenge is a good answer. There has been plenty of good high quality golf at that event, even if it is a silly season event.

Exactly, there's nothing silly about the Target World Challenge. The Skins Game this weekend, now THAT was silly.
Davis Love III won the first one, I think. He might have won another one since. Paddy Harrington won last year. Other than that, you've got me.
I think last year was the year Luke won it. Harrington the year before. But again, I am following the rule stated above about not being able to look this up...
