Target World Challenge

I'll be working in the pro shop or Nike tent tomorrow at Sherwood during the tournament. I usually ask to work the pro-am day as it's the funnest with all the kids seeking autographs from the golfers and celebs. Anyway, anyone have any guesses on who they think will take the tournament this year? Luke Donald won last year.

The field is as follows:

Tiger Woods, Geoff Ogilvy, Luke Donald, Padraig Harrington, Michael Campbell, Colin Montgomerie, Paul Casey, Jose Maria Olazabal, David Howell, Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott, David Toms, Chris DiMarco, Fred Couples, John Daly and Davis Love III.

ideally id love to see JD take it, he is struggling and would be a great win (maybe a big confidence booster), but i really fancy Ollie to do well, but he may be second best to Tiger Woods this week

The winner of the Sherwood tournament will be, Drum roll, please:
Geoff Oglivy or Padraig Harrington. Last Place will be: David Toms or Henrik Stenson....Daly( would like to see him win) will finish but in the middle of the pack. Woods, second or third (will be thinking of the IRS, new golf course or his beautiful wife at home in that warm $$million dollar mansion all alone).

Uh, I'm quite sure she'll be right there supporting her man!

Tiger is always the safe bet, but I think Ogilvy or Scott will make a run for the title, and maybe even DiMarco or Howell have a good chance. So I'll go out on a limb here, and since the Gators got in to the BCS title game, I'll give Chris DiMarco the nod for winning this year's TWC event.

Look for Michael Campbell, Monty and DL3 to bring up the rear.

To bet against Tiger is rarely sensible, but I fancy Casey to win.

I'd love to see Monty or Couple win one soon, but I'll go with the safe bet, Tiger. I probably see Daly finish last, I mean, he'll be the first to finish, but have the highest score.

Henrik Stenson been playing some good golf lately. I would look for him to be a strong contenderm, the same with Padraig Harrington. I get the feeling Harrington sees himself as a real challenger to Tiger and it seems like he wants to make his mark this year.

What were the qualifications to play? Certainly not based on record or which tourneys were won, or just popularity. Hmmm, sounds a lot like the BCS!

Eleven best in world rankings who agree to play, plus last years winner and 4 choices by Tiger, errrrrr, ummm I mean by the Charity. The last four I listed above were the choices.

OK, I'll go out on a limb and say Adam Scott (learn to putt man, would ya!).

I was out there today and Tiger lookd SOLID. Freddy looked distracted. Cook looked good, Daly not so much, same with Monty. Paddy hit it well, Scott was indifferent. Billy Andrade look exceptionally good all things considered. I like Andrade.

Andrade? I call Harrington, Stenson and Tiger to finish in the top 3, don't know who will win out of that bunch

Padraig to teach Tiger another lesson down the stretch, and Tiger to start to come accustomed to the 2nd places that he is going to rack up many more of.
