Tiger to skip Mercedes

Not a huge surprise, although I hoped to see him at Kapalua...

I dunno. What do you think? Oh, I don't care.

Actually, they are riding high on there skill. We have an new shortened season which Tiger was a strong proponent.
I guess actual golf tournament participation is optional.
They could at least skip a tournament that would give the new and hungry pros a chance to make a living. Hawaii is a winners tournament isn't it?

Yep...the event will go on without them too. I won't be watching, but I doubt I could have anyway since we don't get TGC here anymore.

As far as Tour players go, I'm a Jim Furyk fan first. But I am just in awe of Tiger, and consider myself a fan of his game. How could anyone that plays golf and knows how incredible the shots he is making out there not be? He is the greatest golfer of our time.

Tiger has enough annoying fans.....He dosent need me

Tiger showed what the innovation of Technology and true athlete can do in this sport.

Its just sad the lack of young american talent that isnt giving it a run. But I think its only time before the golf world is flooded with young talent just as good as TW. but I do give tiger his respect there, the reason that will happened is because of what he accomplished. Still not a fan.

I agree, flooded?
Why haven't we seen any great young talents so far? There is a lack of young talent.
And as for young talent as good as Tiger, I doubt it! We are seeing the best of all time. There are always those who hate the best for one reason or another, but typically it is called JEALOUSY!

Tiger and Phil didn't play in Hawaii last year, what makes anyone think they would if played this year?

as far as Phil is concerned, he does have a family that he would prefer to be with, kids grow up very fast and i'm sure he would like to spend as much time as possible with them as well as other business commitments he has to deal with.
with the financial situation he has, wouldn't you?
