Wow, I got a compeletely different take on the show. I thought that Faldo was entertaining which is what golf needs. Mediate was stiff and boring I wish they'e find something more like Feraty or McCord for the oncourse commentary. Kelly was fine solid. The jewel of the show is of course Nick. One example was during a fluffed shot from Immelmen where his short chip shot landed on the green and came back down to his feet Nick began to sing "look on the bright side of Life" a Monty Python song He asked Rocco to sing along and Rocco as much as told nick to **** off(real entertaining there Rocco). I loved the quote from Kelly that if you put a ball in a particularly long section of grass that the viewers at home would be seeing more wacks that on a Soprano's episode. I would like to see more use of computer enhancements and it would be really cool to have a better camera angle and possible ball tracking to get a true sense of the balls flight. The one thing that I think the golf channel will get there knuckles wrapped for is the amount of times they caught the boys swearing after a poor shot or missed putt - I heard JB holmes and Jim Furyk both swear during the broadcast and I was only watching it off and on.

Reason: language - not enough **s
I could really care less about the commentators. The Golf Channel is just way better because they show only a small number of commercials, plus they are on the air for a few hours longer than previous coverage.
I'm not overly crazy about Faldo, but I suppose they could do worse.
The camera work was pretty poor in my opinion. Many times the camera were very shaky & that was pretty annoying & hard to watch.
I would like to see you hold a camera on your shoulder on a severe down hill slope in a 50MPH wind and not shake. Even the towers shake in that kind of wind, sometimes violently enough to make you want to leave.

They all seemed at bit nervous, like it was their first day on the job, which in a sense it was. I think they will bring solid coverage once they get rolling,. I even thought day 2 was better than day 1.

Exactly. Give these guys time. You have a very small field, bad weather and two commentators that are getting used to each other. I would give them a solid B so far.
The first half hour of day one we got Fed-exed to death, first fed-ex drive ,first fed-ex putt etc. golf really took a back seat to fed-ex, I was wondering if they would ever start talking golf. players, courses and what they were really on the air for. Fortunately they got down to business and it was enjoyable after a while.

I like how things are simplified by just going to one channel for everything, and I don't mind the commentators. Nick Faldo does a great job, the lady that does sort of the play by play with the man's voice is alright.
*Question: Does anyone know if the majors will still be on major TV networks, like CBS still?
What do you folks think of the little blue track to the hole? I think it's pretty cool as long as they don't overdo it. Faldo got off a good line while Holmes was powering it about 12' past & left -"What's the matter with you John ? Just hit the blue line. There's a blue line right on the green. My Gawd !" lol Well I thought it was funny, anyway.

TGC will have the first two rounds of most tourneys, some all four. But the majors will still be on the networks, ABC & CBS etc.
