A couple of years ago, Golf Digest asked about 20 pros what the most amazing shot they saw on tour in the last year. What was so telling about their replies is that at least 16 of them recounted a shot that Tiger had hit and not all of them were the same shot.
I remember sitting on the couch one afternoon watching a tournament when Tiger hit a cut 4 iron downhill around a corner and onto the green pin high from 240. I was home alone, but stood up and said aloud, "That just ain't possible!" I mean this thing tracked the center of the fairway like a laser guided missile, hit the front of the green and rolled to a stop 10 ft left of the cup. To start with, who in their right mind picks a 4 iron from 240??? Jeez.
I've followed Tiger for a few rounds at the Western Opens and at the PGA Championships.
And the shots he hits are absolutely unbelievable. TV just does not do them justice.
I agree, I've seen him playing up close a few times ('99 Ryder Cup, '03 D-Bank, '05 D-Bank, '06 D-Bank). He hits the ball with the power that no other player has. I am convinced the reason he wins so much is because he is capable of playing shots that NO other player can.
That was a great shot, one of the best no doubt. Imagine how happy Nike felt!
It's a truly amazing shot with all the surrounding circumstances. The ball had to be hit with great accuracy due to the fact it lied flush against the intermediate rough. That made the shot difficult. Then it was hard enough to have it land perfectly to let gravity take over.
Of course the lingering on the lip there added considerable amount of drama to the shot.
He went on to win that Masters in a playoff against DiMarco.

The same people that hit a 6 iron 218 yards over water out of a fairway bunker, lol.
Moved to the proper forum...however, I take any opportunity to watch any of Tiger's old great shots. He seems to hit one a tournament that just leaves you in awe of his amazing talent.

I agree with that, Mickelson is the only other with that capability of blowing your mind with a golf shot. I remember at the Memorial last year when he holed out from a plugged lie in the bunker
Just because of this, or anything else, lol. I'm actually a member over at srtforums (a car website for the Dodge SRT-4, for those who don't know) and have been for about three and a half years and happened to come across the post just a bit ago. It struck me as odd, seeing as how he just joined the forums on both places and just threw up that video. It's like he's an unofficial Tiger Woods representative who is trying to push his client to win a "best shot on TGC award" or something like that lol. It just got to my curiosity and did a little google search and saw a few pages of things just like this.
