Here are the actual comments on the CBS website blog thus far. There's no way that even the networks (who want her to compete, so they get ratings) can sugar coat this.
1:45 p.m. ET: Whew! A great par save for Wie on the first hole. Her drive went short and left, landing in the left rough and leaving her quite a distance for her second on this par-4 opening hole. After laying up short in the greenside rough, she got it up and in for par. Wie needs to play more control golf if she's going to get close to this cut on Friday.
1:58 p.m. ET: A second tee shot misses the fairway. Is it nerves? It doesn't appear like Wie's approach will be an aggressive one. I don't believe she used driver on the first two holes.
2:06 p.m. ET: Ouch! She botches her second, advancing it up the fairway and plenty of real estate to go. For a second-straight hole, she goes into crisis mode.
2:15 p.m. ET: No up and in this time around. She can't convert on a medium range putt to save par. That's the story of her life. She takes her first bogey. 1-over through 2.
2:25 p.m. ET: Break out the scuba gear. Third tee shot finds the drink. Well left in the body of water shirting the left side of this par 4. She has pulled her first three tee shots so far. If this continues all day, we could see another WD on Wiesy's record. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. Perhaps she can right the ship.
2:30 p.m. ET: Grateful, Wie accepts bogey after a nice putt to avoid double-boge. 2-over through 3.
2:37 p.m. ET: Nice sand save at her first par 3. In a greenside bunker, Wie gives us her best shot of the day, leaving a tap-in for par.
2:42 p.m. ET: Good grief! That's four shots badly pulled off the tee box. Something is definitely amiss in the swing mechanics. She might be out of bounds on the fifth.
2:47 p.m. ET: She's got no magic for this one. Taking a penalty stroke, she can't recover and posts double bogey. 4-over through 5.
2:55 p.m. ET: Good news -- she doesn't pull it left. Bad news -- she pushes it right. That's 0 for 5 in driving accuracy so far.
3:05 p.m. ET: What a disgrace that was. Second shot still in right fairway. Can't hit the green with the third. Chip and two-putt adds up to a second-straight double bogey. 6-over through 6.
3:15 p.m. ET: In the sand for the second time at a par 3. No bunker acrobatics this time, but Wie did leave herself a very makable putt for par. No dice. 7-over through 7.
What's going on here ain't Ledbetter's fault, ladies and germs.
Well of course she's responsible for her game, but she's been swinging from the heels since about mid-year last year and I've heard that Ledbetter is behind the change. She used to have a very long fluid swing , but lately she looks as if she's trying to hit everything 400 yards.

Not that I've really been paying attention all too closely, but I haven't noticed anything different in the swing itself - just the results.
If she WD's I'm saying **** and won't watch her again for the rest of the year. She was outright saying the wrist was fine the other day and blah blah blah...
She's allowed to have a bad day. She needs to suck it up and go on. And go back to the LPGA tour.
