Well, being that "home" is Baltimore Area, football is definitly the primary tv viewing tomorrow but I gotta say, I will be clicking the remote to see how young Tadd is faring. I really hope he plays just as well tomorrow and confounds all the naysayers.
By the way, I thought the reaction to his final eagle from his playing partners was terrific sportsmanship and heartfelt.
This is pretty cool. No shot at MW. Just congratulating a kid who played just awesome!
Teen (not Wie) makes cut, history in Hawaii
Tadd Fujikawa, 16, fired a 66 on Friday to
become the youngest player in 50 years to
make the cut on the PGA Tour. <snip>

Its funny how everyone is hyping Tadd's made cut as such a big accomplishment. Tadd didn't dominate juniors golf, he didn't dominate anyone, he didn't learn how to win at a lower level. He actually went the Michelle route, and good for him, clearly it shows hard work and determination is rewarded.
If Michelle Wie made the cut, half the forum would be calling it a fluke, and continue telling Michelle Wie to quit Men's golf.
At least this should motivate Michelle, having some tiny short-hitting kid she used to dominate in junior golf beat her to making a cut is definitely going to fire her up.

This kid is a great talent and he is much more deserving of the attention given to Michelle. I know that this was probably answered on some post somewhere already, but...
Why in the world would his parents name him Tadd?
That's like my parents calling me Gutt or Belly or Jabba...JABBA THE GUTT! lol I crack myself up sometimes.
Funny final pairing: Tadd v Wie (get it? is this thing on?)
You didn't watch him play at all, did you? Short-hitting he is not.
It will be great to see all the media coverage Tadd gets this weekend, not because of hype or marketing , but on making the cut based on his talent and desire.

he is much better prepared then wie, and has much better control over his game, 345 drive, 5 iron to 15 feet and makes eagle, michelle couldn't do that, this kid isnt bad, needs to get in better shape though
Wildbore, well, perhaps not 'dominate', but he's listed at ranked as 19th in the world (Golfweek Junior ratings)....and considering he's among the youngest in the top grouping, I would still consider him as very talented.

Actually, I don't believe Tadd took the same exact route as Michelle. He wasn't playing on a sponsor's invite, he actually qualified. I like the fact that he is also basically "self-taught", and building his game by studying books and applying what works for him.
Michelle hasn't been the same since she started getting her swing coaching directly from Ledbetter. When she was being coached by one of the Ledbetter instructors, she could hit the long ball and keep it in the fairway, but her short game stunk. Now her short game has improved and she can't find the fairway. She needs to tell Ledbetter thanks, but no thanks, and find someone who can really help her.
Figures... always something terribly negative about other players...
Very disappointing, rodney... ver-r-r-ry disappointing.
That was a positive comment. I said don't expect too much from him, because he is already achieved a great deal and the excitement will probably make it difficult for him to produce his best play.
I hope not and I don't understand why you'd think that. The pressure is off. He threw if off emphatically with that eagle on the last. It's all gravy from here on out.
It's just a pattern that happens in golf. Take Tiger Woods, when he made his first cut, her shot 77 in the 3rd round. The relief of making the first cut probably takes away some of their concentration or something like that.
