hey all... Daly, Harmon and Gulbis are golfers, not actors. It's simple, silly humor, nothing more. . . .

I'd rather watch the Winn commercial fifty times per round than have to watch that "bloody" Slazenger commercial once more. . . .

Which one is that Billy ? Honestly I have to agree with essurfer. The Winn spot just seems very stiff, staged & scripted... not particularly well done at all. It's not a bad concept, though, just poor execution... and Gulbis & Daly have certainly been selling themselves as more than just golfers recently.

The Slazenger commerical? That's the one where some dude walks into a meat shop and the butcher opens a door to a cold room that houses a black panther.. the butcher chops then throws a chunk of meat to the big black cat, then goes to the other side of the room to retrieve a box of Slazenger balls for the guy.

The last "scene" shows a ball, apparently after it's been hit, bleeding fresh dark blood from its "pores" (dimples?) ........

It's just all green and cold and murderous looking to my innocent eyes... . . . . .

The WINN commercial is lame in the sense that there is no real action... heck... commercials just pay the bills... I hardly pay attention...

I know the one you mean. I haven't seen that one too many times. The one that I can't stand is the platinum TV one - "doooo do do do do do doooooooo" with the lost ball. Every time I hear that tune it's like nails on the blackboard.

Yeah, the Winn and the Slazenger ads are lame, but the WORST is Srixon's talking ball with Jim Furyk. The ball sounds like a bad Chris Rock imitation. And Furyk is not exactly a born thespian! He has a face for radio!

That is SO true!!! I especially hate the sound of the guy hitting the ball off the tee.....doesn't sound realistic at all----I mute the TV when ever it comes on!

I dont like the Slazenger one either.. Is the golfer an actual golfer or just an actor? I do like the Titleist one where the pros say what number ball they use One on Thursday, two on Friday....... I guess this week its One on Wednesday..........................

Personally, the commercial I hate is the one about the TV having such great clarity that you can see the ball on the TV but the golfers can't find it. It looks like the ball is floating about a foot above the grass! That's the one I hate...

I like the Daly/Harmon/Gulbis spots just because they take a shot at being funny...even if the "actors" can't pull it off...it's still humorous to me.

And I like the Srixon talking ball, too.
