US Masters 2007

Is it easy to get tickets for the US Masters? I have never been and it is my dream to go but I am sure it costs a fortune.

Any tips would be wonderful...

I believe there is a Lottery draw every year and the waiting list is 100 years or so :)

Tournament Tickets
Tournament or "Series" Badges (Thursday through Sunday) have been sold to those on our patron list, which was closed due to demand in 1972. A waiting list began in 1972, and was closed in 1978. It reopened in 2000, and it too is now closed. No applications for "Series" Badges are currently being accepted.

Masters web site.

Im on that list since 1996

there are companies that can get you accomodations and passes (usually the first two rounds) but you will pay about $5,000 not including your own travel costs. search "Masters tickets" on line and the company sites will pop up.

I have been a patron since 2001.

My biggest surprise the first year was how many trailers and tents are set up along Washington road selling tickets.

If you want to go baddly enough a badge is not a problem, it's just a matter of how much money you are willing to spend. Price seems to be about 750.00 for a half day at one of the "Brokers".

From Australia there are quite a few tours available as I am sure there are in SA. The pricing doesn't seem too bad considering the comments above. Of course the big advantage of going with a tour group is the 'no hassle' element. Great if you can make it.

The real answer is that you can not buy them........you have to know someone on the list who already owns them and beg....it worked for me last year and I got to see the Sat. and Sun. rounds. This year I have been out of luck.

Speaking of the Masters, CBS has been rolling out commercials for it already. Talk about being a bit premature.
