How many golfers on tour
Does anyone know how many PGA TOUR professionals there are each year? Is it always the same? I cant seem to find a complete list. I play fantasy golf on Yahoo.com (Putter There is my team name) and I count 175 available players to choose from. Is that all there are? I need to know how many there are and how to verify the information. Thanks,

^^ of course thats all that has their card for the respective year, other players get sponsors exemptions and exemptions to play on tour so they play on tour too

I believe that there are 125 exempt players from the previous year and 50 who qualify from Q school. There may be a few medical exemptions and some other miscellaneous categories, but it seems to be around 185 every year. There is some schuffling when they all reranked several times during the year according to their playing level, which affects whose entry is accepted when a tournament field fills up. And tournament sponsors have some exemptions they can grant each week.
