Tiger tyied to give it away on 18, a couple of feet shorter on the approach shot and that ball would have been wet.

Agreed, that approach shot had me scared, I'm sure he didn't have that in mind, he got lucky it caught that edge of grass and sat up against it.

It wasnt that short, but he just spins the ball an absolute TON.....It hit a yard or more on the green but spun back about 3 yards or so

What wedges does he use? And yeah I know he puts a ton of spin on the ball, but I'm sure he wanted to land it a little further past the hole and spin it back towards the hole, not away.

He loved the feel of them, but spun them too much......That is why he isn't playing them....99.9% of people can't spin the ball enough, so the SV's are perfect, but the SV's spun to much for Tiger!

Only if it had landed in the water. That bank is pretty shaggy...I doubt the ball would have rolled down it into the water if it hit anywhere on it.

The Tiger Show

i'm really getting tired of the @*%# kissing by the announcers. Its pathetic. I have to mute the audio. Tiger is a great golfer but, he is not a god. he a just a golfer. he did not come up with a cure or anything. when tiger misses a putt he is so dramatic i could barf. the other golfers dont act like that. maybe we should save his gas when he breaks wind. i guess these announcers are just promoting there own jobs. i have to say i think johnny miller is very good a this job.okay, i feel better now!

People that do not even golf want to see Tiger win. I watched "most" of the televised tourny this week, but not close. If Tiger wasn't there Sunday, all the others were no names. I'm not saying they are not good golfers, but I would not care who won! He does draw your attention, and that's the reason they ALWAYS show him.JMHO

Well, looking at the TV ratings when Tiger is in contention vs. the ratings when he is not, I'd say the announcers are just doing their job - giving what the majority of the audience wants, coverage of Tiger.

I'm a Jim Furyk fan, but I recognize how great of a player Tiger is, and am awed by his game. Just enjoy the opportunity to watch a guy people will be talking about long after we are gone.

Maybe it's me but , and of course I understand all of the actual Tiger coverage, it seemed to be especially overboard at times this week. Many times when another golfer made a bad putt or a less than perfect chip or sand shot or whatever, Faldo would invariably chime in with "Tiger would've done so & so" or "only Tiger could've pulled off that one"... enough already. His approach PW on 18 , while never really threatening to go in the water, was a huge mental error. There's no way he should've come up short with that pin and that club in his hand. Howell sinks his putt (I know...fat chance) and he has a nasty lie and doesn't get up & down and it's a playoff. I was shocked at the shot, but apparently I was alone , from what we heard on the broadcast. He ran down Chucky 3 Sticks and a bunch of nobodies, sure it's #7 and all, but let's all get a grip.

he must have suspected that the grass behind the ball would take spin off.
