This is the norm every year for this tournament. Torrey Pines NC vs SC has the largest scoring average differential of any event on tour that uses multiple courses. (saw the stat on TGC last night)

Through watching 16 holes of this guy's performance, there isn't the slightest hint of nervousness. (I have the last portion being taped, so I have no idea what he did on 17 and 18)

He just seems completely at ease with his game, even though he hasn't hit many fairways. How he rebounds tomorrow will be even more important than how he performed today. After an experience like what he encountered today, he will need to play in the present tomorrow more than ever, especially on the tougher course.

It's much easier to rebound after a bad performance than it is to follow up a career performance. ;)

Nice 61. It's always interesting to see how guys follow up their best rounds out there. Chances are he'll struggle a bit on the tougher South Course, but he'll be in good shape for the weekend unless he totally blows up out there.

I dont know what happened there, anyone figure it out? I have the golf channel coverage tivo'd and I just started it. It even said he was on the leaderboard at 11 under after 11. A hole later his score dropped to 10 under after a par. They never said anything else about it?

And the Pats were a 14-point underdog to the Rams!

I wouldn't be so sure. This is a good young golfer who was a top ten money winner on the Nationwide Tour last year. Yea, I know being on the PGA Tour is a whole other story but this guy has talent. The only real question is can he handle it mentally if he makes to the weekend where the spotlight will really be on him in a way it hasn't before.
