Niiiiiicce !!!!!

Some idiot is yelling NICE just after impact. Have any of you noticed this ? Is NICE the new GETINTHEHOLE ? It's being yelled before anyone could possibly tell whether it's actually a nice shot or not. There may be more than one guy doing it. What is with these clowns ? I've noticed quite a few mouths in the crowd today that sound as if they may have been over-served.

They seem to care that they get their voice on TV, i dont think there is more to it than that, considering some of the less good shots that are followed with "NIIICE"

I noticed that when Quinney was hitting a few times. I haven't quite figured out which of the two you mentioned is more annoying yet.

I don't have issues with the fans showing some emotion. But I do think that a few of them get a little out of control on occasion. Maybe the tour should provide a handbook that outlines what is and isn't appropriate behavior. They can give them that book at the beer stand. LOL....

I heard someone yell it after one of Tigers drive, too, and it was probably his worst drive of the afternoon. Probably the same guy. It was a very loud and distinctive yell. I didn't hear him after that, maybe Stevie took care of him off camera. Emotion is fine, but it's obvious when they holler the instant after impact, they're just trying to get their voice on national TV.

Haha yeah, it'll be pretty loud next week. I'm just upset that it is the same weekend as the Super Bowl.

Oh yeah, Phoenix. I actually like that one hole there (hey, I don't claim to be consistent ) a par 3(#17 ?) , where there is almost a Lions vs Christians in the Coliseum atmosphere. That one's pretty cool, IMO.

Didn't League coin the "YOU DA MAN" post shot yell? I could be wrong.

These idiots just show no respect. Ejection is the only way. Scorers who have the walkie talkies with direct communication should have the power to report such acts. We do not have this problem 'down under', our scene is a lot quieter. Still, I am looking forward to seeing the 'one off' 16th hole at the FBR.... seems like a lot of fun and resembles a football crowd, great atmosphere but let's keep it 'one off'. Golf is hard enough when all is quiet.

The 16th (I think? -- closing par3) at the Phoenix Open is the only greenside gallery (outside of the late 80's/early 90's Ryder Cup era) that actually boos the players. A couple of years ago, one of the top players at the tournament stuck one to about 10 feet, to thunderous applause. He missed the birdie putt badly, and the crowd actually boo'd him.

I'd be very surprised if it doesn't happen again. The fans that park at this hole are notorious for that type of behavior.
