Its real nice to watch the coverage the champs tour compared to the PGA lately. You get to see alot off different golf shots and alot of approach shots and drives. Wish TGC or CBS would have taken the same route on thier PGA coverage.
How about Freddy Funk going -23 Under!!! Wouldnt that be something win 2 week in a row on different tours? Has anyone ever done that champs-to a -Pga win?
I love watchin' the geezers They're laid back, yet competitive as I love the fairway interviews, their charisma, their takes on golf and life. I'd say I like watching them as much as I do the regular tour. But, then, I like watching the Euros and the women, too, so what do I know?

Do you really want us to answer that
In all seriousness though, they are pretty fun to watch, I just don't catch it on tv enough.
HAHA ....It's true though...they all seem like real good guys...I really enjoy them in the "fund raiser" type events where they arent all serious, and just joke around! I love seeing that side of people!

There is only so much time that I have to watch golf on T.V. period. My primary interest is the PGA Tour, followed by the European Tour. Frankly that doesn't leave much time left over. I may watch some Champions Tour golf here and there but I have yet to set down and watch an entire round. Another factor is this; given the choice of watching guys who used to be the best in the world at what they do as opposed to watching guys who are the best in the world at what they do, I'll watch the later as opposed to the former.
I have put up a few posts about this. It is my favorite tour. I enjoy seeing different swings. Guys that can just get the ball in the hole.
I have said this before, but if you get half a chance to attend an event, GO!! The crowds are much smaller, and you will have a much better time than a regular event.
As a Geezer, myself, I do enjoy the Champions tour, and follow them when they come to Savannah for their tournament. I don't expect them to shoot as well as the PGA tour guys, but the competition is still very close.
****, I played today with some younger players , and playing my own game didn't hurt me at all. I did OK. Shot 80, with 10GIR and 28 putts and came in second. Golf is tuff, no matter your age. JMO!
I wouldn't stay home for it, but when I catch some Champions Tour coverage I always enjoy it. I love some of the unusual swings, especially Allan Doyle's abbreviated action: He barely takes his irons past parallel, and I am talking about 'first parallel' (with the clubhead away from the target)!! I like some of the other unusual swings also, and there seem to be a lot of them: I always thought that Arnold Palmer's horrendous followthrough was due to back problems / old age, until I saw some footage from when he was younger!

Hale Irwin, Tom Watson, Jay Haas, Fred Funk
I enjoy watching these guys more the the PGA Tour sometimes.
