Dominance defined.

"Jim Furyk, ranked No. 2 in the world, is closer in world ranking points average to No. 1300 John Elliott than he is to No. 1 Woods."

He has surely redefined what dominance in golf means and my guess, though I won't be around to see it borne out, is that it will retire with him. If anyone were to suggest, pre-Tiger, that a golfer would win or threaten to every single time he teed it up in this day and age, I'd have told them that they were nuts. He just never has a really off week. It's simply unprecedented (sorry Jack).

In 2006 Tiger had 11 top ten finishes in 15 PGA Tour events
Compare that to 2005 where he had 13 top ten finishes in 21 events.
For 2004 he had 14 top tens in 19 events.
For 2003 he had 12 top tens in 18 events.
For 2002 he had 13 top tens in 18 events.

So for the last five full years Tiger has 63 top tens in 91 PGA Tour events. That really a truly amazing streak of high quality play.

Plus, he has by far the most addictive golf video game every year.
