Only five? When was the last time Phil won anything before today? More than 5 events I bet!

Is not winning the same as "losing" when you are talking about a field of more than 100? Interesting stat nonetheless...does he have his own plane yet; might ease the pain of travel...

PF- I agree with you about Tiger's "win streak". As opposed to Lord Byron, Tiger can pick and choose where and when he is going to play. He can choose the courses he knows that he can over power. Take this week for example. Tiger has never won the L.A. Open. Has never even finished in 2nd place. So it's only natural that he would bail out, hide, not show up, or declare that he needs a break this week. Lord Byron had to play week after week. Tiger is a far better atheltic specimen than his Lordship was. I say that for Tiger to truly beat Lord Byron's streak, he should play the same number of tournaments and try to go 11 in a row.

I doubt really serioulsy Tiger cares about 11 in a row. He's after the most major's. He say's him self its not the same as what bryon did...only you are dragging him down for what the media throws out. Media is always the be all end all, right guys ?

This is funny though, a phil fan comes out of the wood work to trash Tiger. Tell me where was Phil hiding since he hit that tent.

Even the great Lord Byron had to have Jug McSpaden as a partner in a 4-Ball. And I'm not 100% sure but I don't think he did it in 11 weeks. Were they all 4 day events? Butch Harmon has a PGA Tour victory (which counts) but it was a 1 day event. And Tiger's streak DOES count. If you don't think it does, look at the results of his last 6 tournaments on the PGA Tour. Should that not convince you, try beating your head against your desk for a bit.

Some of Lord Byron's wins were in 1 and 2 day events.

I agree with the article...if he really cared about the streak, why would he risk it on match play? He's over it...Lord Byron's record will stand.
