I was watching Setanta's coverage, (which is really TGC's coverage) and for soem reason McCord really annoyed me today. He seemed to be butting in on eerything, trying to be funny. Faldo was the same to a lesser extent but he was giving some insight into shots as well. Anyone else think the same?
McCord seems to have an 'edge' this year ... that health problem seems to have made him chippy. He just went off on Faldo and Tellingham saying Ernie struggled because of that knee injury last year ... he is right but he was somewhat animated
Faldo needs to talk golf and golf period , he isnt funny. That stupid Brit humor worked for Monte Python not a golf announcer.
If TGC is going to be taken seriously , they have to get rid of Tellingham , she is horrible and just awful to listen to.
I wonder how bad the ratings are for the pga stuff now that it has went to TGC. I know here we don't get it on our cable packages, so you know there are more places that don't get it either.

You really think so?
I think she is a very good golf announcer and is the staple of TGC. She's got a great voice for golf, has a wealth of golf knowledge that she shares with the audience, and knows so much about each and every golfer on all the tours. She does her homework.
I hope Kelly Tilghman stays on as the main host of the PGA on TGC... she is, IMO, Thee Golf Channel.
Tilghman was good IMO, for what she said in the broadcast it was relevant and made for some interesting conversation, kind of setting up Faldo and McCord to look good, what an announcer should do with the experts.
One occasion especially, McCord asked one of the guys following Phil what the read was. The guy goes "pretty straight" to which McCord replied "Inside right, inside right". Not very nice if you ask me, just rubbed me the wrong way I suppose
