Today I'll be following some more people so I can give a better outlook.
Thanks for the report. Any first hand account is better than nothing.

So all the tiger fan boys can be happy again.....Tiger is out front...What horrible conditions they are playing in. Now i get to watch a hour of golf central or should I say tiger central.....I get so tired of not seeing other players getting any coverage.

Good display from Tiger in a -6 under, bogey-free round of 66.

Looks good for the weekend.

Im rooting for Henrik Stenson, then the rest of the field, then good ol'Eldrick last. Im just so sick and tired of watching his superstiff/borderline angry gameface.. I dont think i like him, even tho he is a legend in the making.

Two quotes come to mind...Daddy always said, "If they're cussin' ya, you must be doin' something right" and a sub-scratch buddy always said "The cream comes to the top". Blue Monster, loaded field, major coming up...cream comes to the top. I've never rooted against anyone in golf...even my opponents. If I play well and get beat then I got to see some good golf up close and personal...and may have grown a little in the process. Nobody plays well every week...but the big names rise to the occasion in the big events, every fantasy golfer knows that. Does that mean we should go ahead and hand Tiger the trophy this week? Not at all...anything can happen. But you can bet he's gearing down for the Masters in a couple of weeks and anyone who wouldn't consider him a heavy favorite is possibly delusional. Still, anything can happen...that's why they play the game. We are witnessing history. Does one round of minus 6 and the lead at the halfway point of a WGC tourney warrant that last statement? No, nor does it warrant all the hatin'. But by the time Tiger retires it'll be apparent to everyone that we've witnessed an "era" in golf.

I'm so glad I'm 40... errr, 35.
I got to see Arnie at his best, Jack when everyone knew better than to bet against him, Gary Player's wizardry, and ChiChi's flair. Now, I get to see Tiger setting new records, and very little else if he's playing during air time.
Ask me why I dislike Tiger, and it has absolutely nothing to do with him. It has to do with the coverage of any event he's in focusing on Tiger, and darn near nothing else. I readily admit that his closest rival is nowhere near his level when he's on, but I'm sick of turning on a tournament, and it being Tigervision.
To those of you who adore him, I've no problem with that. I'd just like to see coverage that doesn't revolve around every shot he takes, or if he isn't taking a shot, him walking down the fairway or eating a granola bar. This is why it's gotten to the point that I no longer mind missing the coverage if I can find something else to be doing when it's on, and he's playing.
I'd rather watch the Champions Tour coverage, or the LPGA. At least there, I get to see a variety of golfers.
Call me a "hater" or anything else you might think of. It's not as if I care what you call me. Just don't call me 5 minutes before your tee time to tell me you need a 4th!

Tiger is like any other changer of a sport be it Wayne Gretzky in Hockey or Michael Jordan in Basketball. The average Sport viewer tunes in because he knows at anytime he may be watching history. Tiger does things no one else can do and he usually picks the the most dramatic time to do it. 16th at Augusta or the 18th at the Canadian Open. I want to see every shot he makes because even his bad ones are better than Ben Crane, Ben Curtis, Bart Bryant, Boo Weekly's, etc etc good ones. To hate Tiger is to hate Golf. I'm sure that if we were in the times of Bobby Jones the same people would be saying they hate Bobby Jones. Just like the majority of Jack's Playing carreer he was not well liked. I want to see the best and you cant argue with Tiger's record he is the best that ever was.

Well Tigers 3rd round kicked off well, with an eagle at the first hole.

Lets see how things play out this Saturday.

I'm wondering why Tiger ever hits a driver......every drive I see from him goes WAY right. He hits his 3 wood 290+ in the fairway, so why bother? I have to wonder why he doesn't look at other club manufacturers. He wasn't this wild with his Titleist.

In the off-season Tiger was searching around and trying new drivers I heard, nothing changed tho.

I dont understand either why he dosen't just hit his 3-wood.

I just formulated myself bad, about being in the making. " watching a living legend" is more correct.

What was the Sergio spitting incident, I only caught the tail-end of his interview on NBC?

After being frustrated with his continuing putting woes, he apparently spit into the cup. I only caught part of it because I was doing something else at the time, but I didn't hear any sort of apology out of Sergio. Is it actually against the rules? or merely an incident involving a player's poor judgment?
