Hey maybe we'll actually see Tim Clark today. Last yer's runnerup had a fine round yesterday, and made an incredible putt from off the green on 18 that broke about 40 yards. But the cameraman must have been grabbling a pimento cheese sandwich, because I only knew about it from Masters radio - no video on USA or TGC.
Guy is leading the tourney, should have been one to keep an eye on coming in, and we still haven't seen him hit a shot this year.
Two birdies for Woods coming in, 147 (+3) heading to the weekend. Six shots back. Ever watch a staggered start 400 meter race? It's an optical illusion who is leading until the second half of the race.
Same thing watching Tiger at the Masters. You get the feeling he's really only 2 shots back, regardless of what the Friday scoreboards says.
Just got back from Augusta. We sat on 11 green, 12 tee, about 10 rows back for most of the day. Got there at about 9 so we got a pretty good seat. We went back to 11 tee to see Tiger hit his tee shot... which ended up about 40 yds left. Then we got to see him hit his tee shot on 12 in the water. Saw about 1 birdie all day on 11 and only about 2 on 12.. two of the toughest holes on the course today.
Fun day overall. Time to go watch the TV coverage. :)
Ouch for Zach Johnson! He's a tough guy so I'm looking for some good playing from him tomorrow. The grind is beginning to take its toll and Tiger Woods has historically been the toughest at mental grinding. Let's see if he can get himself poised for a run on Sunday.
The conditions seemed tougher today, but the pins were easier. I don't know what to expect with Fred Ridley doing the setup for the first time this year (he's an ex-USGA President), but if past form holds, Saturday will have easy pins on the front 9, and accessible pins on the Sunday back 9.
Excuse me, first 9 and second 9. Almost forgot ANGC has their own lexicon.
Great start to the day. 15 players have teed off so far. 14 of them are over par for the day already. 1 is even. It's 38 degrees and breezy. What a day for golf.
Help...yesterday I was able to enjoy the live feeds of Amen Corner and the Practice Range (great idea!) on my desktop at work. But I cannot pick it up on my laptop today. I only get a "Connecting to media" message...and no pictures. As out there with advice?

I noticed the Goose is making a move, as is Stewart Cink. Anybody doing any calculating regarding the contest?? Once again, Masters.org, Amen Corner is proving to be better than the network coverage, imho.
I am loving this interactive window masters.org provides. I'm watching Amen's Corner, checking on the progress of individual pros, and watching a slow-motion flyover of each hole-- all at once! Awesome

cbs really needs to stop this recapping of the history and put on some live golf! half the players have already made the turn. I really don't care about what happened in the masters 30 years ago, it already happened.
