You were complaining and didn't make yourself clear that you thought the coverage should start earlier, so I was under the impression that you were unaware.
Don't worry. I won't ever state the obvious to you again, or make any further statements to you if I can help it. I can live without rudeness from people I attempt to help out.
Have a nice day.

Odd having the leaders tee off at 3:00 pm. Generally tougher conditions lead to longer rounds. During the first two rounds, nearly every group was taking 5:15-5:30 to play 18 holes with threesomes. With twosomes today it is taking 4:30-4:45, meaning the leaders will finish at 7:30-8:00 - just in time for sunset, and well after the intended end of the telecast.

We know CBS will stay on air until the last putt drops, but I think it is stupid to force the leaders to play in the cooling dusk and poor light, with no time left for postround practice.

I sure hope you are right about that!

I am loving this tournament so far. It is pretty cool to see the pros having to work so hard on this course. Now they know what it feels like to be me!

I think it's too tough right now. I like to see the pro's struggle as much as the nice guy, but you aren't going to get any roars when guys are getting up and down for bogey.

I agree, Matt Monty, we already have a death march major every June. I just hope tomorrow they set easy pins on the second 9. I miss the Augusta roars that come from the drama on the 5 water holes, especially 13 and 15.

Nothing better than watching a guy go for it with his second shot when he's down by one or a couple. Might make a 3 or maybe a 7. That drama sets the Masters apart from the other three majors.

Geoff Ogilvy just made an eagle and all he got was a polite applause. It is either too cold for roars, or too early! Let's wait and see what happens when the tournament leaders hit the back nine tomorrow!

Wow, the leaders are at +2 now, still on the course. Tiger's +3 clubhouse lead looks pretty good right now! He may play in the final group tomorrow after all!

Masters Boring?

Is it me, or is this the most boring Masters ever? At least the most boring in recent memory. There appears to be no drama from players moving up the leader board, just drama from players making bogey and moving down. Sorry, while I don't enjoy the birdie festivals of some previous Masters, I would agree with Fuzzy's assessment, that there are no roars from the crowd, just groans. And it appears that is just what this Masters has been, a groaner.

Just my opinion.

I will withold my judgement on this topic until Sunday afternoon. This thing isn't over yet: I see no reason why tomorrow can't be great!

I hope that you are right. I also think that the setup has taken the 'reward' out of 'risk/reward'. The players are playing so conservatively that it is just not exciting.

Given the tough conditions, the patrons should be roaring for par once in a while: Tomorrow, with the tournament being decided, and scoreboards being watched, they may!?

Winds gusting 30 mph, with the greens rock-hard? I think they're doing great. If the people there don't appreciate what the players are going through just to make par, they're either drinking too much, or just not paying attention.

Well, you have to hand it* to Tiger: Even after these difficult, unspectacular first three rounds, he ends up in the final group with Appleby, one shot back. The winner usually comes from the final group at the Masters. I wonder who will win!?
