Over the years, Hedrick said, he has scored countless tickets for the Super Bowl, World Series, Final Four and any other major sporting event in America. But tickets for the Masters are a different story. A very, very sad story by the look on Hedrick's goateed face.
"I've been coming here for 15 years, and I've only bought one pair off the street," he said.
My cousins have badges this week. They rented a house for the week for $10K. The owners left two weeklong badges on the dining room table as a 'throw in'.
One cousin lives here in the city, the other is in Atlanta. The one down south found the house through a local real estate agent, and the lady was super paranoid about the whole thing (references, credit check, badges are not to be used by anyone else or resold, etc). Plain jane ranch house, so I imagine for those folks it's a very nice supplement to their income.
My cousins - two brothers near my age - have been emailing me nightly with practice round pictures and long winded stories about their adventure.
I think I posted this in another thread but my friends co-worker purchased two badges for this year's Masters at a charity auction.
They were $500. The problem is, she forgot to factor in airfare for two from Hawaii, lodging and expenses. She wanted to just sell them off but her husband really wanted to go so they're both in Augusta right now.
