Sports Illustrated Cover: Johnson wins, Tiger makes the cover

Did anyone notice that Sports Illustrated put Tiger on the cover even though Zach Johnson won the Masters? What does a guy have to do? You can't even see Tigers face.

Maybe they just don't want to curse Zach?

Nice Cover. Seems OK to me. I guess it is such an asesome picture that they just coudln't pass it up. The fact that TW's face isn't showing seems appropriate. They should have found a way to give Zach's picture a bit more space though, but maybe that is on purpose too, to portray a David and Goliath sentiment!

It's all about what sells more magazines. Tiger Woods doing something you don't see very often probably sells more magazines than Zach Johnson putting on the green jacket. Even if you can't see Tigers face.

Definately proves that they only thing that SI could fine exciting about The Masters was not the winner, just Tiger breaking a club.

They should of given Johnson more credit with a better cover shot, but it is a very cool picture none the less. I suppose Tiger not winning is just if not more news worthy than Tiger winning.

It is an interesting photo and it is Tiger Woods. Just found it a little noteworthy as to who got the cover on SI.

The headline says it best ' Masters Disaster' the whole tourney from course conditions, weather to the winner wasnt exactly thrilling.
Tiger is big news and with him on the cover , the magazine sells millions. Put Johnson on there with that goofy outfit and maybe the 20,000 people from his hometown might buy it.

Tiger sells and is news... others dont and arent

The media is all about sensationalizing and making money, not fairness.

i am very surprised that johnson didn't make the cover seeing that tiger has been on it probably several times before and mickelson made it when he won the masters in 2004. Hopefully Zach (Same name as me :) ) will make the cover someday...

Well, unlike you, he did "make the cover"...just not very big.

Yes, Zach Johnson made the cover but even Yao's picture is larger than his.
