What does everyone think about the final "word" being out that Phil is indeed going back to Butch Harmon and dropping Rick Smith...Everyone knows Rick and Phils families are close and those two are close as well..Just thought id see what everyone thinks?
Im wondering if Phil will shorten his swing like Butch wants him to, Will phil get control of his driver..what everyone else think?
But sources have told Golf World the Mickelson-Harmon alliance will be made official before the EDS Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, Tex. By then, Mickelson and Harmon will have worked at an undisclosed location in preparation for The Players Championship and ultimately the U.S. Open.
The EDS Byron Nelson Championship is next week!
But I can't wait that long! Do you have some more definitive links, Geraldine...?

How long the Harmon-Mickelson relationship lasts is uncertain. They have worked together before, without much success. In 2003, Mickelson was looking to tighten his swing and spent time with Harmon prior to the Accenture Match Play at La Costa. If that happens again, Mickelson could end up back with Smith. As a source close to Harmon said, "Let the drama begin."
Three-times major champion Phil Mickelson has switched allegiance to swing coach Butch Harmon in a bid to improve the accuracy of his long game, especially his driving.
Mickelson, who blew a golden opportunity to win last year's U.S. Open at Winged Foot with a wayward tee shot at the last, had previously worked with Rick Smith for most of his career.
Although the American left-hander will now spend most of his practice time with Harmon, he plans to retain his close personal and professional ties to Smith.
"Butch is one of the very best teachers in the world," Mickelson said in a statement released by his manager on Monday.
"He's helped two players rise to number one in the game and I'm fortunate that he has agreed to spend time working with me on my game, particularly on my driving.
...........
DIFFICULT DECISION
"This has been a difficult decision for me," said Mickelson, adding that Smith had been "very instrumental" in most of his 30 PGA Tour victories, and particularly his three majors.
"I feel that now is the time to go in a new direction with Butch Harmon on my long game.
"I went to Rick Smith as a friend and asked for his understanding of this decision and he's been very supportive of it. No one could ask for a more true or loyal friend."
Well..Id say a month..Phil is good about taking swing thoughts to the course..But look wht Butch has done for him in the past..he went to that short swing and won the masters with it..I think he will fair well from the change..But you never can tell..
