Sweden's Henrik Stenson and Tiger Woods were paired together Saturday for the third straight day. If they'd been having a match, it would've been a lopsided one. Stenson eagled the 16th hole en route to a 66. Woods curiously struggled again, shooting 73.
Woods won major needling points before the round, however. Friday, Stenson pulled his drive on the 18th hole into the lake. Upset, Stenson smashed his driver into the ground. The head broke off into pieces, and one piece flew up and glanced off a cameraman's hand and then his head.
Stenson apologized.
Saturday morning, having witnessed that scene, Woods walked up to Stenson on the practice range before the third round wearing a construction hard hat. "I'm ready to play with you now," he told Stenson. They broke up in laughter.
Later, Stenson told reporters, "It was a fun joke. I don't know if you guys understood why, but it was funny."
