Natalie Gulbis drops Butch Harmon

A couple of weeks after Phil went to Butch, it's been reported by the Golf Channel that Natalie Gulbis is dropping Butch Harmon as her instructor. It seems she's going back to her father.

Sh really should talk to Dave Pelz. That sidesaddle putting style is holding her back, I think. Her ball striking is fine.

Natalie is not a good putter and that has always held her back. The split grip has actually helped her and has given her some chances ofr wins but the putting still lets her down. Perhaps it is greenreading as I really don't know what her real problem is. She seems to roll the ball well but burns the edges all too often.

It's probably more like Harmon gave her the "Gate".

Two thoughts..

1. Pretty pitiful she witdrew. At least Lincicome opened with an 80 as well and eneded up making the cut.

2. I wonder if her dad is a bit over controlling as well.

Pros who go out and play terribly the first round and are most likely not going to make the cut withdraw all the time. It happens on the PGA Tour, the LPGA Tour and any other Tour out there. You have to give Lincicome credit for sticking it out and making the cut but I totally understand the reasoning behind withdrawing.

I made a hasty judgement concerning this, and I apologize. Apparently, she WD due to a back injury, and she is not playing in the LPGA Championship this, so the WD seems legit.

Smooth move for Nat sure that will work. Father seems like a **** of a fella. Sure he'll be better than the number one ranked golf coach in the world. Good news is she is also looking at getting Hugh Hefner as her manager/publisist so there is a always a bright side.
