Annika is at +2. I'm surprised at her play coming back from her injury but then again, she is Annika. Nice to see Michelle shooting a respectable score.
The media pretty much controlled themselves from asking the other players about Michelle for a change but boy, when Commissioner Bivens came on...
She started out by issuing a lengthy statement that directly addressed Michelle. Then every question asked by the media involved Michelle. Not even one question about the LPGA Championship.

Well in case you are wondering why, check this out from Ms. Pretty in Pink:

"Oh, it's not dying down," Paula Creamer said. "It's a situation that needs to get taken care of. It needs to be addressed in some official matter."
Regarding the numerous stories detailing how LPGA chief operations officer Chris Higgs talked to Wie's manager Greg Nared right before she withdrew, Creamer said "If that's the case, that's wrong, During a round, officials should only be involved in a ruling. That needs to be explained to us. I think a lot of the players would like to hear something from the Tour on that."
Creamer added: "But until that happens all you can do is go out and play your own game."
Not that Paula is out of step with her peers; on the contrary, she is just one of many pros who are outraged over what happened last week.
Higgs, by the way, is "not available for interviews this week" per the LPGA. Bivens, for her part, had not addressed the media even once all week before today. So that's why they were loaded for bear when she walked into the press tent today.
i think what bivens said, said it all. Michelle is a 17 year old, and 17 year old will do what 17 year olds do when put in corner, i.e. "I have nothing to apologize for".
Tall girl bogied the final hole to finish at +3, currently T-82nd. She is above the cut line by one, but should be OK by the end of the day presuming the field backs up.
Midway through the second round, here are the contenders:

i think she'll make the cut but just barely since the rest of the field will back up.
I suspect you are right. Seems like the that's the general trend in majors, where the birdie opportunities are few, and the greens firm up in the afternoon rounds.
Well, MW made the cut and showed a lot of discipline. From what I saw she was using irons and hybrids off every tee...even the par 5's. Apparently the driver aggravates her wrist too much. I think 3-over is a good showing.
