Starting Age Of Golfers

i know Tiger started when he was a tot and i know Nick Faldo supposedly started at 17.
i also know Justin Rose was off something like +2 at 12 orsomething.
i have heard rumours of Vijay started at 30 or something crazy. does anyone else know of weird starting ages of players?..

This still gives me the belief (16 in september)

TIA

Re: Starting Age Of Golfers

I have definitely read stories about late bloomers. Well, not late bloomers exactly but people who have taken up the game at a "late" age and gone on to turn pro. I think what those people generally have in common is that they had natural ability and were able to pick up the game quite quick.

Calvin Peete didnt begin playing until he was 23 I believe. only one i know of.

also, considering Vijay turned pro at 19, I dont think thats exactly true...

and faldo started at 14 and turned pro at 19.
