US Open 3rd Round (Beware of Spoilers)

Greetings ...

Might as well get started with this.

US Open Online Scoring: 107th U.S. Open Championship - Round 3 Full Leaderboard

I have observed that the 36-hole cut is like the Windows Recycle Bin on your computer.

Yesterday, one group of plus eleven-or-worse was deleted. Today, another group is filling up the bin again.

Thanx-A-Lot and Enjoy the Golf, Frank-0-Sport

So much for me choosing DiMarco to win ! At least Bubba Watson is doing well.

The course was playing pretty easy today, tomorrow it will probably be similar to shinnicock

I don't know...the Oakmont representative (can't remember his name or position) told Jimmy Roberts that it's playing exactly the way they intended...hard. I didn't see anything easy about it. Saw some stellar golf, though. It might get a little tougher tomorrow but I don't see how it could get any harder without being unfair...it's borderline as it is, imo. Fownes philosophy was that "a shot played poorly should be a shot irrevocably lost"...pretty extreme but that's Open golf.

It played the way I had hoped it would. The USGA put some water on the greens, which allowed well struck approaches to hold, which led to some birdies. From a tv viewer's prospective, it made it more fun to watch.
