Also, a lot of players have fallen off the map with Tiger in contention on Sunday but recently, players have been pulling through. E.g. Zach Johnson & Angel Cabrera.

If Sergio does end up winning, I wonder if he'll cry after the 72nd hole. I believe it would mark the second time Sergio would leave Carnoustie crying, although it would be under very different circumstances.
Well, the biggest reasons Johnson and Cabrera were able to beat Tiger was they were 3 or 4 groups ahead of them. It's much easier to play ahead of Tiger and just go out with no pressure on you and try and shoot low rather than go toe-to-toe with him. Even Garcia's best major came in the '99 PGA when he played ahead of Tiger.

I do think if Sergio is in the lead come Sunday, it will be the test of a lifetime. Because if he goes out there with the lead and chokes again like he did last year, it might be the toughest one to swallow and is going to destroy his confidence even more. But if he plays a great round and wins, the confidence will rise even more and I think more majors will follow.

Sergio Garcia's Record When Leading a Major After 36 holes

0-0

Whaddayasay we take a wait and see with this one, eh?

The guy has talent.

He has won 16 times (6 PGA, 6 European, 4 Other).

Overrated? Sure.

Frustrating to root for? Yes, sometimes.

Will never ever be able to ___________ ?? Remains to be seen.

I was thinking "I wish I were an Oscar Meyer weiner" when I first saw him this a.m.

Then my gf walked by singing "Ba-da-ba-ba-bahhh I'm loving it".

Outstanding round today, fashion sense notwithstanding.

Re: 2007 British Open (Open Championship) Discussion

Sergio is still up there. Has been holding it together now with a 3 stroke lead. A lot depends on weather conditions as well as his attitude. Hopefully he can do it; if not I'd love it to be Padraig or Paul. Walked with Pawd today and he was playing very steadily most of the way. Padraig can be a great charger down the back 9 on a final day.
Tiger batled today regained some ground but the others will have to drop back to give Woods a realistic chance. He has one but would need to doa Steve Striker. Steve equalled the Open record.

I see the final round's going just the way I thought it would. Scoring is good. Els is making a move. And Sergio's choking in the final round yet again.

He is too tense. The guy needs to relax before it's too late!

Since none of my pick 'em choices are doing anything, I'm pulling for Ernie, and Padraig.
Andres Romero is playing some fantastic golf though.

I think you're wrong, Harrington just put a 2nd ball in the birn on 18 (speleling), Van de Velde must be giggling.

Paddy is choking to death on 18. Looks like I'm doing an excellent job of jinxing people without any help from you NikeSlingshot06.
