Players Fines

I know the PGA fines their players for slow play and poor ettiquette (yelling obsenities) or missing media events. The fines do seem to be fairly hush hush though does anyone know of specific fines and players who gets the most fines etc.

Re: Players Fines

Rumor: Tiger is the most fined player. Have yet to see a printed statistic on it though.

Re: Players Fines

The PGA Tour keeps their fines quiet. It will be hard to get your hands on stats. Tiger himself has stated that he is the most fined player, even though he may not know this for sure. Of course, he is also the most watched player! I don't feel sorry for him though, because I am pretty sure he is at least breaking even.

The European Tour makes their fines public.

Re: Players Fines

My guess is that Calcavecchia is up there as well. I saw him demolish a trash can in Atlanta a few years back after missing a putt....

Re: Players Fines

I do remember at the first of the year when the golf channel was still a bit of a virgin at showing golf, I think it was the mercedez in Hawaii, I saw a lot of the guys lose it. They have gotten much better at either tape delay or the players are much better.

Re: Players Fines

I could give Tiger a run for his money I'm sure.

Don't know if that's a good thing or not
