Re: The only reason men have any interest in the LPGA

In the real world; There are good Male Golfers, and Good Female Golfers. I enjoy watching them both. Whoever this former tour player is, perhaps he is annoyed that the female golfers get more attention than he ever did.

Re: The only reason men have any interest in the LPGA

If I had a choice, I'd watch the PGA tour. Given the choice of the Champions tour or the LPGA, I'd definately pick the LPGA. If I'm not watching the world's best players, I'd rather watch attractive (though maybe few) young women than fat old men.

Re: The only reason men have any interest in the LPGA

I've watched the LPGA long before the current list of "lookers" showed up on their tour. As has been said before, I thought that certain aspects of their game were analogous to aspects of my own game. (not that most of them wouldnt kick my butt on the course)

I enjoy watching sports (ask my wife, ) but I love watching golf. PGA, LPGA, Nationwide, Champions (aka "fat old men") Junior Amateurs, Celebrity golf, you name it, I like to watch golf. Aside from the fact that I might learn something, watching golf at all levels helps me understand that no matter how accomplished you are, you can hit a snap hook into the woods or a worm burner out of the rough....

Women's boxing is embarrassingly bad because Ali just manhandles some unfortunate opponent with normal hormone levels

The only problem I have with the LPGA is that they get to tee off halfway down the fairway. I'm obviously exaggerating, but you get the point.

I don't think that people watch the LPGA for T and A. You'd be better off looking out your front window or going for a walk at the mall or hospital
Your comments amaze me. Are you sure you are on the right forum. This forum is for golf lovers, one of which you are not !!!

Re: The only reason men have any interest in the LPGA

They were made mostly in jest......especially the part about teeing up halfway down the fairway. I did however say that the level of skill was closest between male and female golfers than in any other professional sport, indicating that I recognize the high level of play on the LPGA.

And don't tell me about my passion or lack thereof for golf. Watching the LPGA doesn't make you a connoisseur of golf, contrary to how you may feel

You might want to thicken up that skin in the meantime though. This isn't tea time at Aunt Minnie's, you are going to run into similar comments as you would in a cross section of the public. In fact, the folks here are probably much more polite that you would encounter at any golf course on North America
