He isnt worth it. He should be playing for the love of the game,in fact that applies to all of them.

Well, it's hard to be humble when your Tiger Woods...it's not like it's extortion or something. What are you gonna do when you're the best in the world (any argument there?) and you have multiple standing offers that big or bigger and the eyes of the world are upon you? What if Tiger went and played somewhere for free ("love of the game") and left all the other multi-million dollar offers on the table? What sort of special event would that be? Tiger likely does more than any other single golfer for charity and to promote the game to the masses (any argument there?)...plus, the venues that offer him that sort of money make times more from those who come to see him...maybe he would like to play the occasional event gratis but how the heck can he? What about his agent and sponsors? Talent and fame do have their price.

No one is bigger than the game itself inc Tiger. Its not like he needs the money or exposure. It becomes public knowledge that he accepts 'appearance' money but has in the past complained about 'lack of privacy'. Why not play for free? more often than not he wins anyway ,all over the world.as for his agent and sponsors, they would get the same publicity probably more if tiger played for nothing. The wold number 1 playing in any event makes it a special event anyway
