Re: longball brothers

But they still missed the cut. Yes, they are very impressive, but like you suggest they need a good coach. There are a lot of long ball hitters out their that will never play on the PGA Tour (I saw a long drive champ on the Golf Channel last year. He hit a 360 yard drive and than a 220 yard 7-iron approach to a par five...he's not on the Tour and I don't even remember his name). It's great to hit the ball a long way, but a golfer needs to keep it in play, and scoring is all about 100 yards and in.

Not according to the PGA Tour website. Tony was 145th and his brother 152. http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboards/...026/index.html

Unless you are talking about a different tournament.

You can hit the ball from here to christmas but if you dont have a solid short game you will never make the grade.

Re: longball brothers

How deep will 360 yards in the Trees at Augusta go ? If Hitting the ball far is the only aspect of their game then I suggest the Remax Long drive or Pinnacle team sponsorship. Those guys can hit 360-400 yards. I think Jason Day has more talent out of the 3 young guns . He can smash the ball, 5th in putting and 5th in scoring average.

Re: longball brothers

PGATOUR.com - Official Live Scoring from Utah EnergySolutions Championship

That's a humorous link indeed. The first Finau character I clicked on had 3 double bogeys in his 2nd round (chuckle). The next guy's name was Gipper (next laugh) and he shot a 80 with 3 doubles and a triple (laughing out loud when I saw this). These clowns make more double bogeys than I do. AND, they did it in a tournament where little dorky Foghorn Leghorn (or Franklin Langham, whatever... another laugh) shot -20!!!!! I don't care how far they hit the ball, they stink and I only say stink because of the limitations of this PG-rated site. If Franklin Longhorn shoots -20 in that tourney and can't even get through Q-School, then those guys should have their clubs taken off them and broken in half for missing the cut and making so many double bogeys.
