I just got a call from a friend back home who said he heard on the radio that Tiger is not playing this week and is taking the rest of the year off...I know he announced he will not be playing in the PGA Grand Slam in Bermuda...I checked Golf Channel and various other resources but I have not found anything on what would be a huge story....anyone else heard this?
Doesn't sound right. By now he would probably be off the leaderboard.... but who knows? He's already got enough money.
Doesn't sound right to me either and I would have thought that Golf Channel, ESPN or someone would have had it as breaking news...but I was thinking that they might all have been too numb to report it...
Furyk will replace PGA Champion Tiger Woods, who told The PGA of America that following the Presidents Cup, Sept. 30, that he would not compete the remainder of the year.
