David Duval, out of action for much of 2007 due to a major family issue, is as of now scheduled to play in the Viking Mississippi Classic (formerly Southern Farm Bureau Classic) in Madison, MS on September 27-30.
I know that the "major family issue" was his wife's difficult pregnancy. I assume that she has successfully given birth, otherwise Duval might not be back out playing so soon after. But, as to when the birth occurred and what child Mrs. Duval had is not known to me right now.
His story is a slumping golfer's nightmare...losing the game that you had and not being able to recover...since his fall from the top flights of pro golf, I have rooted for him to climb back up mainly for selfish reasons wholly tied to my golf game...I want to always believe that the swing can be recovered and that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel as long as you put in the range time...

[threadjack] Still struggling with it Big? If so, you aren't the only one. I'm back in what's (hopefully) a mini-slump. The ball-striking isn't bad, but I can't seem to score, and my putting is streaky at best. [/threadjack]
I really hope Duval finds his game again. I just don't think it's as important to him as his personal life is, so I have doubts. I don't believe he'll ever get back the form he once had, or that he would be happy with anything less than that. I know I wouldn't.

Actually not so bad now, but always seem to be looking for something!
