Hope I spelled their names correctly. Anyhow, a friend of mine works with a lady who swears up and down that David Duvall is the son of famous actor Robert Duvall. My buddy has argued with her over this for several weeks now and insists that they are not related. He wants to make a friendly bet with her of about $10.00 regarding this but would like to know for sure if they are or are not related first. I told him I would ask the question on here for him. How about it, does anyone out there know for sure. Thanks for the help.

I don't think they are, they spell their last names differently (David only has one "L" in his "Duval"... what a funny name, "Duval". Hmmm... But anyway, I'm pretty sure Robert has 2 L's.) So unless he somehow changed the spelling for his own reasons, I doubt they're related.

I believe David Duval's father was/is a golf pro.

Robert the actor is not David's dad; Robert (Bob) the senior tour golfer is.

FYI...The Duval's (Bob & David) are the only father and son to win on the Champion's Tour and PGA Tour in the same week.

hey league that stat isn't true anymore, the stadlers both won events this weekend on the champions tour and nationwide pretty cool accomplishment.

Yeah, I spoke too soon! Although the Nationwide Tour is not the PGA Tour, it's still quite an day for the Stadler family! I wonder if NBC announcer Gary Koch's nickname for Kevin Stadler (Maxi-Me) will stick? The interview with Craig after his Champions Tour victory was enlightening. Craig said he was thinking more about his son, and where he stood, than he was about his own game. Great stuff...if you're a Dad.

I thought the thread was going to be on which Duval(l) was the better golfer right now? Seems like it'd most likely be a tie.......

(all these dumb posts are just trying to get my post count up to 5 so I can play in the arcade.....sorry if they're annoying.....)

FYI

Actor Robert Duvall IS NOT David Duval's father..period. Bob Duval is David Duval's father and he plays on the Champion Tour (Senior).
