Not bragging (well maybe a little) but havent Europe won the last 3? that would take us back to 02! There was a presidents cup that finished drawn was played in South Africa.
I absolutely hated the decision/gesture, whatever you want to call it. Why do you bring it up now? I had just gotten over it 4 years later (or so I thought)! But now I will have to start over!!

Up until now I thought I was the only one that hated the decision
You are definitely not alone. They gave up on the competition, presumably because they wanted to go home, covering it with a questionable attempt at 'sportsmanship'. You can't have the latter without a full attempt at 'sport' first, IMO.
I think it was fine. Nobody wanted to come back the next day and putting all that pressure on one guy to win it for their respective country(countries) seemed a little much. At the time there wasn't a solution for that particular scenario so they made it up as they went to satisfy both sides. There was a lot of good golf that weekend and for it to end in a tie was fine by me. I thought it was great sporting gesture.
BTW, who cares what Tiger thought, he's not the be all end all.....and he's certainly not the captain.
I guess my point is, I bet others didn't like the decision either. In addition, it makes no sense to me that they can't finish play and the US keeps the cup. Doesn't make sense to me...
