Tiger kills 1 in San Francisco

I just heard on the news that Tiger killed 1 in San Francisco. That does not sound like a big deal to me. He kills about 150 players on tour each week he plays.

pls note that I am not making light of the person who actually died last night, just making fun of his nickname and the headlines.

Happy New Year to all.

Re: Tiger kills 1 in San Francisco

haha... nice try.

I live about 15 miles south of the zoo. It's HUGE news around here.

Someone just lost a son, a brother, maybe a father. And two other men are seriously injured...

Sorry man... but not funny.

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

What the **** has happened to this place in the last 6 months??? No sense of humor and more politically correct arguments than I see in the NEWS every day! Did someone pick another apple off the tree in the Garden of Eden or what?

Meh......

The question is, when a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

While this message board does well in avoiding a lot of conflicts, I think it has gone overboard at times. That is why I believe people go to the Golf Channel and ESPN board more often. Fortunately, both of them are now moderating the posters.

I guess there is a fine line between not having unnecessary offending statements and getting to the point that we cannot post to the point that there is very little dialogue.

I don't think LBLACK was talking about the Golf Rewind administrators restricting postings, but rather the many people who seem to act politically correct on this board. The Golf Rewind administrators do a good job at balancing the fine line of editing.

It does seem that in the last few months, there has been a change in the tone of the postings and comments on the postings. I recognize that things change and we all need to accept that, but the Golf Rewind site does seem less fun these days than in the past. I am still hopeful.

I accept responsibility for my posting and I tried to make sure people understood that I was only making an irreverent joke of Tiger's name, not the people who died or were injured.

Exactly!

I'm also noticing that some of the ones TRYING to be politically correct are also the ones stirring up alot of the arguments and from reviewing some of their past posts are being somewhat hypocritical.

I think much of the change in tone (dare I say grumpiness) you may have witnessed is due to the winter season many of us have to suffer through. Where are our Australian, African, South American members when you need them? Playing, I hope!

In addition to that, golf forums (and sub-forums thereof) have there own seasons, governed by playing-seasons, tour schedules, equipment rollout schedules, etc., etc.. Just stick with us!

South America here. You're right, we're playing under a merciless sun. It's hot like H… uh, like Inferno. Temperatures are in the high 90's Fahrenheit (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
